Erin Rooney Doland is a writer, editor, and adventurer. She is author of Never Too Busy to Cure Clutter (2016, William Morrow) and Unclutter Your Life in One Week (2009, Gallery Books). Her hardcover, paperbacks, e-books, and audiobook have sold in the U.S. market and overseas in countries like France, the U.K., the U.A.E., Poland, Russia, and Korea. She also is an essayist for the 99U book series Manage Your Day-to-Day (2013, Amazon Publishing) and a contributor to Organize Every Room: The Real Simple Method for a Well-Ordered Home (2018, Oxmoor House).

For years, she appeared regularly in Real Simple magazine's "Ask the Organizer" column and has contributed to The Washington Post, Better Homes and Gardens, Family Circle, Wired, Woman's Day, and Martha Stewart Living, among numerous other major media publications. Her books have been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Parade Magazine, and USA Today, and she has been profiled in The New York Times. Erin has been a guest on The Today Show, The Rachael Ray Show, WGN Midday News, Martha Stewart Living Radio, and the CBC and BBC Radio networks.

She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas, William Allen White School of Journalism, and her master's degree from Johns Hopkins University. She is currently the editor-in-chief of the adventure website Tumbleweed.Life, a freelance editor and journalist, and is a fiction author (she publishes her fiction under a pen name). You also may recognize her as the former editor-in-chief of Unclutterer.com.

She resides in an RV full time, traveling North America wherever she can find a cell signal. When she's not writing or editing, she's hiking, backpacking, whitewater rafting, canoeing, snowshoeing, spending time with family and friends, and reading -- always reading.
